Pakistani Jihadist Writer Discovers MP3 and Stresses the Use of Mobile Phones To Spread the Message of Jihad: 'This Job [of Creating MP3 Lectures on Jihad] Will Be Entrusted To Someone'

In a recent column, a noted Pakistani jihadist writing under the byline "Saadi ke Qalam se" ("from the pen of Saadi") reveals how he recently discovered MP3 for listening to jihadist speeches, and describes how digital media could help spread the message of jihad among Muslims.

Saadi writes for Haftroza Al-Qalam, an Urdu-language weekly magazine published by the jihadist group Jaish-e-Muhammad.

In his column, titled "Mobiles Will Be Pleased" – translated into English from the original Urdu by one Abdullah and published on the Haftroza Al-Qalam website – Saadi notes that the task of producing jihadist literature would be given to technology producers, so that the message of jihad would reach Muslims.
