Bangladeshi Weekly: Islamist Organizations Hizbut Tahrir and Hizbut Tawhid are Spreading Jihadist Ideals In Bangladesh, with the Help of Student Wing of Jamat-e-Islami

Global Islamist organization Hizbut Tahrir and its outfit in Bangladesh Hizbut Tawhid have established numerous camps in the hilly areas of Bangladesh, according to a weekly.

Hizbut Tahrir, which campaigns for the establishment of an Islamic caliphate, is being assisted by members of Islami Chhatra Shibir (the studentswing of Jamaat-e-Islami in Bangladesh) in their jihadi pursuit, according to the report in Weekly Blitz.

It should be noted that the Bangladesh chapter of Hizbut Tahrir was banned by the present Bangladeshi government on October 22, 2010 for its anti-state subversive activities, and it is suspected of being behind the recent unsuccessful coup in the country.

The report says that the jihadi organizations in Bangladesh use social networking sites to propagate hatred and jihad against the West, and are planning secret suicide attacks in upscale localities, hotels, and bars.
