Below are excerpts from an interview with Professor Hafiz Muhammad Saeed, the founder of Pakistani jihadist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), who is the Emir of its charity arm Jamaatud Dawa (JuD). Both the LeT and JuD also work as Falah-e-Insaniat Foundation (FIF). The interview was given after the U.S. announced a bounty of $10 million for information leading to his arrest or capture. Saeed currently leads the Difa-e-Pakistan Council (DPC, or Defense of Pakistan Council), a coalition of 40 banned religious militant groups.
