The post appeared on Al-Fallujah and followed a long period of doubt in Gaza regarding Ansar Al-Sunna's true commitment to the Salafi-jihadi creed. In an attempt to verify the group's true ideological affiliation, Salafi-jihadis addressed Abu Al-Walid Al-Maqdisi, a well established Salafi-jihadi sheikh and a commander of the Gaza-based Jama'at Al-Tawhid wa'l-Jihad. Al-Maqdisi did not provide a definitive answer, explaining that only Ansar Al-Sunna's doctrinal manifesto could determine its true doctrinal affiliation.
