In the past year, the Islamic State (ISIS) has published six issues of its official French-language magazine Dar Al-Islam.The magazine, which is dedicated to recruiting Francophone fighters to ISIS, is also a platform for the organization to present and explain its doctrine and methods.

The slickly designed Dar Al-Islam is edited by Francophone operatives of the Al-Hayat media group, ISIS's official foreign-language media office. The articles themselves generally have no byline, and many are originally in French, as opposed to translations of previously published ISIS material. The magazine is distributed online via Twitter and other social media platforms.

On November 18, 2015, the media office of the Islamic State (ISIS) in Homs Province released a video on Twitter titled "What's Coming Will Be Even Worse." About 10 minutes long, the video features three ISIS fighters who praise the November 13 Paris attacks and promise more attacks to come. The speakers urge jihad fighters to continue targeting French interests everywhere, by every available means. One of them threatens that large-scale attacks, similar to 9/11, are still in store for France. Another specifies that in "the Christian statelets" there are hundreds of suicide attackers who are ready for action, waiting only for a signal from ISIS leader Al-Baghdadi.

Responding to the November 13, 2015 Paris attacks, several clerics who are affiliated with the Islamic State (ISIS), justified the attacks and praised the organization for carrying them out. Clerics affiliated with Al-Qaeda, on the other hand, such as Abu Muhammad Al-Maqdisi and Abu Qatada Al-Falastini, did not explicitly praise the attacks, but nevertheless implied that they were justified in light of France's alleged crimes against the Muslims throughout history. The pro-ISIS media company Al-Battar published articles by ISIS supporters who gloated over the attacks and promised more attacks in the future.

On November 17, 2015, the Islamic State's Al-Furat media company released a video in French titled "Fight Them; With Your Hands Allah Will Punish Them," which threatens more attacks on France in response to this country's involvement in the anti-ISIS coalition.

Al-Karar Al-Iraqi

The information office of the Islamic State in Salah Al-Din Province, Iraq, posted a 12-minute video on November 16 titled "Kill All The Polytheists". The video features three speakers, two Algerian and one Iraqi, congratulating the Islamic ummah for the Paris attacks and praising the perpetrators. The three promise that ISIS will continue to strike France and also to strike America in its heart - Washington DC.

 

ISIS Al-Furat Province Video Celebrates Paris Attacks, Features Previously-Released Images From New York City To Hint At Attack

On November 18, 2015, the Islamic State (ISIS) media company in the Al-Furat province released a video celebrating the Paris attacks. The video features several ISIS fighters praising the authors of the 13/11 Paris attacks and threatening the West with more terror attacks to come. The five-and-a- half minute video titled "And our Soldiers will prevail" was hosted on archive.org and distributed via Twitter and Telegram.

 

ISIS Claims Responsibility For Paris Attack, Promises: This Is Only The Beginning

The Islamic State (ISIS) released a statement claiming responsibility for yesterday's chain of deadly attacks in Paris in which, as of this writing, 128 people are known to have been killed. ISIS said that the attack was a response to France's war on Islam and its insult to Muhammad, and threatened that the attack against France was a warning and only the "first rain." It also promised that France would remain at the top of its list of targets as long as it maintains its war against Islam and Muslims.

 

ISIS-Affiliated Media Company Praises Paris Attacks, Justifies Targeting Civilians

On November 16, 2015, the Al-Battar media company, which is affiliated with the Islamic State (ISIS), released a short video praising the November 13 attacks in Paris and the October 31, 2015 downing of the Russian passenger airplane over the Sinai. The video justifies the targeting of non-Muslim civilians on the grounds that they have no security pact with Muslims and they support their countries' war against Muslims.  

 

French ISIS Fighters And Supporters Express Joy Over Paris Attacks And Taunt French Public

ISIS has published a French-language version of its claim of responsibility for the series of deadly attacks in Paris, as well as an audio recording of the statement read out by the French speaking narrator of its daily radio news broadcast in French. The audio recording was accompanied by the French ISIS song "avance." French speaking ISIS fighters also reacted with joy to the news of the attacks in Paris that were claimed by their group.

 

ISIS Supporters Express Joy Over Paris Attacks On Social Media

The simultaneous terrorist attacks that struck Paris on the evening of November 13, 2015, triggered widespread expressions of support and joy among online ISIS supporters. Even before ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack in the early hours of November 14, 2015, several hashtags were launched dealing with the attack. It should be mentioned that while initially, the hashtags mostly featured tweets expressing joy at the attacks, as hours went by they also included many tweets criticizing and condemning them.

 

Expressions Of Joy Over Paris Attacks In Islamic State Provinces

Following the series of deadly attacks in Paris on November 13, 2015, there have been increasing expressions of joy in various Islamic State provinces, with ISIS members handing out flyers and candy to residents on city streets. There have also been messages of joy and support from ISIS supporters in other locations, such as Gaza.

 

ISIS Fighter Shares Photo from Alleged Bomb-Making Class In The Islamic State

On November 19, 2015 ISIS fighter Abu Layth At-Tamimi tweeted a photo of a fizzing soda bottle from a class he is allegedly attending, which presumably instructs fighters on devising explosive devices. This tweet follows the revelation in the issue 12 of ISIS's English-language magazine Dabiq, released the previous day, which claimed that the Russian airliner downed over the Sinai on October 31 exploded from a bomb created by a Shweppes soda can. The fighter appears to be from the West and of Somali origin.

 

Islamic State Kirkuk Province Video: Joy Over Paris Attack; Call For All Muslims, Especially In France, To Increase Attacks On The West

The information office of the Islamic State in Kirkuk Province, Iraq, published a 6-minute video on November 16, 2015, documenting joyous responses by ISIS members to the deadly attacks in Paris. Speakers in the video congratulate the Muslim nation, and call on all Muslims, especially in France, to increase attacks on Western "Crusader" forces. The video is accompanied by audio recordings by ISIS spokesman Abu Muhammad Al-'Adnani, who called on Muslims everywhere to carry out attacks in Western countries.

 

Pro-ISIS Bosnian Media Group Celebrates Paris Attacks: 'Blood Will Flood The Streets Of Europe'

On November 15, 2015, the pro-Islamic State media group "Vijesti Ummeta" (News of the Ummah) released a statement celebrating the Paris terror attacks. The statement, titled "Healing the Chests of the Believers," describes the attacks as retribution for coalition and Russian airstrikes against ISIS. Vijesti Ummeta operates a blog and accounts on various social networks, including Twitter (@vijestiummeta93) and Telegram. It regularly distributes ISIS publications translated into Bosnian as well as original publications in that language.

 

ISIS Releases Issue 12 Of English-Language Magazine 'Dabiq,' Reveals IED Used To Down Russian Airliner, Promises To Continue Retaliating Against Those Attacking It

On November 18, 2015, the Islamic State (ISIS) released the 12th issue of its English-language magazine Dabiq. The 66-page magazine, which is titled "Just Terror", reveals the IED that was used to down the Russian airliner over Sinai. It praises the downing of the passenger jet, as well as last week's deadly attacks in Paris, while promising that it will continue to retaliate against countries attacking it.  

 

Article In Issue 12 Of Islamic State (ISIS) English-Language Magazine 'Dabiq' Promotes Merits Of Polygamy

On November 18, 2015 the Islamic State (ISIS) released the 12th issue of of its English-language magazine Dabiq. One article, by Umm Sumayyah Al-Muhajirah, discusses the merits of polygamy in Islam. She has already written about issues concerning women, such as sex slavery, in previous issues of the magazine.

Al-Muhajirah uses some passages from the Quran to buttress her argument supporting polygamy: "Allah said in His clear-cut revelation, 'And if you fear that you will not deal justly with the orphan girls, then marry those that please you of [other] women, two or three or four. But if you fear that you will not be just, then [marry only] one or those your right hand possesses. That is more suitable that you may not incline [to injustice] [An-Nis─ü':3]. This is a verse as clear as the sun that does not require extensive explanation or interpretation. Therefore, O slaves of Allah, you may marry two, three, or four women, unless you fear that you will have shortcomings in your fairness towards them or will fail to fulfill their rights, in which case you suffice with one wife."

 

In New Video, ISIS Attacks AQAP, Calls On Its Members And On Yemen's Sunnis To Join The Caliphate

On November 16, 2015, the media office of the Islamic State (ISIS) in Al-Khayr province released a video attacking Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP), condemning its leaders, and calling on its members and the Sunnis in Yemen to join the Caliphate.

 

Jihadis Announce New ISIS Website On The 'Dark Web'

Jihadis are circulating a link to an Islamic State (ISIS) website on the Dark Web. The new website appears to be a mirror of Isdarat, a known website that publishes ISIS materials on the Clearnet.

 

Dutch Jabhat Al-Nusra Military Leader Abu Muhamed Al-Hollandi Eulogized In Video

On November 14, 2015 Jabhat Al-Nusra released a 16.5-minute video eulogizing the late Dutch military leader Abu Muhamed Al-Hollandi. The video states that the film is based on Al-Hollandi's notes. Portions of the video are narrated by British fighter Abu Basir Al-Britani, and it also features other fighters, who share anecdotes about Al-Hollandi. The video also shows footage of him lecturing his soldiers, and doing reconnaissance work.

 

A Look At The Facebook And Tumblr Accounts Of American ISIS Supporter Who Solicited Murder Of U.S. Military Personnel

On November 12, 2015, Terrence McNeil of Akron, Ohio was arrested for endorsing the killing of U.S. military members in the name of the Islamic State (ISIS). He circulated "kill list" information circulated by the ISIS Hacking Division, which featured photographs and personal contact details of American military personnel. The following report reveals some of the content McNeil posted on his Facebook page and on his Tumblr blog. A court affidavit confirms that the accounts featured in the report belong to McNeil.

Facebook Posts

Terence McNeil used the name Terrence Joseph Broadway on Facebook. Many of his posts included graphic images of innocent civilians suffering from Assad's military actions. Other posts incite violence, or reveal McNeil's sympathy for ISIS.
