In a virulent column, titled "The Nazi U.S. and Zionist Germany," Islam Al-Shafi'i, a columnist in the Egyptian daily Al-Wafd, slammed the "Nazi" policy that he claims the U.S. and Germany have adopted. He believes that American Nazism, which he says is based on "womanish tricks and plots," is worse than Hitler's Nazism, which he says was predicated on "military honor and the ability to contend with occupying superpowers."
Al-Shafi'i complains that, as part of an American plan to divide the region, the two countries support the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood (MB), which he calls "the parent organization of all Islamic terror groups," while criticizing the Egyptian army, which he says was defending its country against "a terror gang" (i.e., the MB).

Al-Shafi'i also attacks U.S. Ambassador to Cairo Anne Patterson, calling her a "witch" who has"dubious" contacts with the MB and attempts to foment civil war in Egypt, and criticizes German Chancellor Angela Merkel, calling her an "emissary" of U.S. policy in the region. This policy, he says, makes the U.S. and Germany a "despicable enemy," and adds that it would be idiocy on Egypt's part to continue to allow the presence of foreign embassies that have turned into dens of intelligence gathering, weapons storage, and money smuggling.
The following are excerpts from Al-Shafi'is column:
The Nazi U.S. Imposes Terror Organizations Upon The Nations
"The only thing the U.S. administration wants is to be the standard-bearer for Neo-Nazism in the world. However, the Nazism of the U.S. is not like the Nazism of Hitler, which was based upon military honor and the ability to contend with occupying superpowers and empires through direct military confrontation. The American Nazism is characterized by cowardice and depravity. It directs its arrows only at those who it is certain [pose no threat], and if [these parties] bare their teeth, [the American] Nazism quickly withdraws. It is a Nazism of womanish tricks, conspiracies and plots.

"The American Nazism has an important plan for our region, which it is determined to carry out at any cost. But the people of Egypt acted wisely, and the [Egyptian] army quickly provided a patriotic response, in order to thwart the dreams that the Americans [wish to realize] by investing their money and the money of their proxies and funding their collaborators in Egypt. The American plan has failed, and what remains is [a thirst] for revenge. Nazi America will not rest until it takes revenge on Egypt, and will not stop inciting global public opinion against it. Its distorting and filthy media will not stop reviling the Egyptian revolution, and its ambassador [in Cairo], the witch [Anne Patterson], will not stop her dubious activity among the commanders of the terrorist [MB] organization... aimed at sparking civil war in Egypt.
"Nazi America sees no wrong in imposing [the rule of] terrorist organizations upon peace-loving peoples that crave freedom and a peaceful life and helping them [the terrorists]. This, despite the fact that these are the very same organizations on account of which [the U.S.] sets the entire world on fire on the pretext of 'combating terror.' Today, the American Nazism sees no wrong in funding and arming these organizations as long as they spill the blood of peaceful people. The U.S., which has committed every [imaginable] war crime, from Guantanamo to [the war in] Iraq, under the pretext of defending its national security, [now] criticizes the Egyptian army's efforts to defend its country from a terror gang and from [that gang's] grudge-bearing supporters. The U.S., who arrests airline passengers for speaking in Arabic or for getting up from their seats, now condemns the Egyptian police for acting against the vast terror armies that are moving, armed, through the streets of Cairo in order to block bridges and main roads, attack peaceful civilians and abduct and murder them.
"The Nazi U.S., which insists on being a brand of shame upon humaneness and a harbinger of woe wherever it is present, is now acting to create chaos in Egypt by providing political and international diplomatic backing to its [pet] terror organization [the MB], which it is trying to impose upon Egypt..."
Germany – A Proxy Of America And Global Zionism
Moving on to attack Germany, Al-Shafi'i writes that it has become "a Zionist Germany" and that it is carrying out the orders of the U.S by demanding Mursi's release: "Not only did [the contemporary] Nazi Germany provide the Israeli occupation army with an arsenal of the most advanced weapons, in order to atone for its crimes against the Jews and against humanity; it also sees no wrong in shedding all its clothing and becoming a Zionist Germany. Zionist Germany, under the leadership of [Chancellor Angela] Merkel, did not balk at playing the role of 'emissary'... of the failing U.S. policy in the region. Following the Obama administration's failed efforts [to intervene in the crisis], [Germany] felt no qualms about having its foreign minister give us a look of boundless insolence and interfere [in our affairs] in a strange and unjustified manner [by] demanding the release of the second deposed [president, namely Mursi]. The German Foreign Ministry did not balk at playing an unusual role within the E.U., on orders from the U.S., and exert despicable pressures upon the Egyptian people..."
Calling on decision-makers in Egypt to reject U.S. counsel and to expel the foreign embassies from Egypt, which he claims are assisting terrorism, Al-Shafi'i says: "The U.S. and the West are the last ones who want to see real democracy and happy peoples in the East. We must know that all that they are striving for now is to thwart the purging process, and to stop the war on terror in Egypt. The aim of all their current actions and counsel to Egypt is to partition it, to spill more blood, and to spread chaos in its territory.
"It would be idiocy on the part of the political decision-makers here to listen to the serpents' whispers. It would be idiocy on Egypt's part to preserve the existence of the embassies, which have become intelligence dens, and perhaps [even] weapons depots, and mediators for smuggling funds. Anyone who condemns us for our opposition to the gunmen and for defending security of the state, its military institutions and its presidential palaces is most certainly a loathsome enemy – who never was and never will be a friend…
"With its absolute support for the mother organization [i.e. the MB] of all terror organizations belonging to Islam, the U.S. has exposed its [citizens] to global terror. Germany has turned from a leader into a proxy, in order to satisfy global Zionism. The supporters of the organization [MB] in Egypt have lost their authority, and they are calling for their masters in 'the infidel West' to conquer the land of Islam. Even this organization's [MB's] sleeper cells outside Egypt have begun to openly surface and to clearly show their identity in their [host] countries...
"These are the facts, clear as day. Egypt will absolutely not agree to be used as an arena for failed American experiments. We will not abandon the future of our land to the deviant and ignominious urges of the U.S., which is influenced by global Zionism. It is clear to all that Egypt will never rescind [its decision] to vanquish terrorism.
"Oh terrorists, your presence in Egypt is forbidden. The people and army of Egypt are a single bloc, a single body, that you will never be able to penetrate. Flee to your caves and to your leaders outside this good land, where you have no right to live…"
