Following the publication of the MEMRI report, Apple removed Hizbullah's iPhone and iPad apps from iTunes, Google removed Hizbullah's Android app from Google Play, and Facebook removed Hizbullah's two Facebook pages (see "MEMRI Report on Hizbullah's Use Of U.S. Social Media Companies Leads To Facebook, Apple, Google Removing Their Content; Twitter And YouTube Still In Violation Of U.S. Law," August 2, 2012, http://www.memri.org/report/en/0/0/0/0/0/0/6560.htm).
After its removal by Apple, Google, and Facebook, Hizbullah's Al-Manar TV announced, on August 2, that it would find other ways to deliver the "message of resistance." On the same date, Al-Manar TV's website reported that "the media war has already started since we signed up to the Facebook site about five years ago. As of this morning, Hizbullah has created two new Facebook pages, one for Hizbullah itself (www.facebook.com/SocialmediaPrograms#!/SocialmediaPrograms) and one for Hizbullah's Al-Manar TV (www.facebook.com/pages/Socialmedia-news/415799878484357). Both pages say "The Lebanese Media Group/Al-Manar Channel" and "The Official Page of The Al-Manar Channel."
The pages, which as of this writing have no content, currently have 36 and 20 "likes," respectively. Both can be accessed through icons on Al-Manar's website (www.almanar.com.lb/main.php):
