Following are excerpts from a sermon delivered by Egyptian cleric Mahmoud Al-Masri, which aired on Iqra TV and was posted to YouTube on August 21, 2011.
Mahmoud Al-Masri: "Allah said: 'The black-eyed virgins of Paradise are like hidden pearls.' This is a message to every pious sister: If you want to be like the black-eyed virgins of Paradise – they are hidden, or in other words, covered up. When you wear your hijab in this world, you are emulating the black-eyed virgins, nay, you are a thousand times better and more beautiful than them. […]
"The virgins of Paradise are 'close-guarded in pavilions.' That means that they do not come and go too much. It is also admirable for women of this world to avoid coming and going all the time – to the seamstress, to the hairdresser's, to her friend, or whatever. No, she should sit at home, Allah be praised. […]
"The black-eyed virgin wife in Paradise does not menstruate or have any of those things that people find disgusting. She is pure of all those things that might bother you in your wife. Moreover, when your Muslim wife enters Paradise with you – that's it, no more menstruation, no childbirth, no nothing. No more of all those things that make you nauseous. […]
"This is also a message to every Muslim wife: Do not upset your husband, because if you do, his [future] wife from among the virgins of Paradise will curse you." […]
