Jordanian Academic: The Present Reality In The Arab World Is The Result Of A Jewish Conspiracy

Jordan | Special Dispatch No. 4788

On January 24, 2012, 'Abd Al-Rahman Mustafa Al-Qudha, a doctoral student in Arabic Language at the Yarmouk University in Jordan, published an article in the Jordanian electronic newspaper Al-Sawsanna, in which he claimed that the present crisis in the Arab world – the oppression and the uprisings – is the result of a Jewish conspiracy described in The Protocols of the Elders of Zion.

Following are excerpts from the article:[1]

"Reading the introduction to The Protocols of the Elders of Zion, translated and analyzed by Muhammad Khalifa Al-Tunisi,[2] I was surprised [to discover] the [scope] of the global Zionist conspiracy. But I was even more surprised that I could not find any other explanation for the current reality [in the Arab world], except that it is the realization of this conspiracy.

"Out of respect for your intelligence, my reader, I will not belabor the idea, so as not to present it to you through my own eyes. [Instead,] I will [only] quote from the introduction to the book, and leave it to you to analyze the conspiracy in light of the reality, or to analyze the reality in light of the conspiracy.

"The first component of the conspiracy: 'For centuries, the Jews have had a secret plan to dominate the entire world in order to promote their exclusive interests. Their elders used to amend [this plan] from time to time, according to circumstances, but the goal remained constant (The Protocols of the Elders of Zion, Introduction, p. 31).'

"As for the realization of this goal, the Protocols state: 'The Jews aim to eliminate all the regimes in the world and replace them with a tyrannical Jewish monarchy. They have taken all the [necessary] steps to eliminate the regimes, especially the monarchies. One of the steps is enticing the monarchs to oppress their peoples, and enticing the peoples to rebel against the monarchs by spreading the principles of liberty, equality and their like, interpreted in a special way so as to harm both sides. [The Jews] attempt to keep both sides, the regime and the people, in a constant state of mutual hostility, anger, and fear. [They strive to] corrupt the rulers and leaders, while quashing any display of awareness among the non-Jewish peoples. To implement all this and generate civil war, they use women, money, positions, and trickery, among other means (The Protocols of the Elders of Zion, Introduction, p. 31).'

"Look what they do: '[They] sow dissent and schism in all countries by means of secret political and religious societies, labor unions, sports foundations, Masonic [temples], and various [other] clubs and societies. They want to bring the countries from a state of tolerance to [a state of] religious and political radicalism, socialism, licentiousness, anarchy, and inability to implement the principles of equality. All this, while preserving the unity of the Jewish nation, and [keeping it] far from the repercussions of their harmful instructions... (The Protocols of the Elders of Zion, Introduction, p. 32).'

"All rulers and peoples follow [the plan] set out in The Protocols of the Elders of Zion, wittingly or unwittingly. How much longer will our [Arab] nation continue to ignore [these facts] and wander [aimlessly]? My brother, the reader, after [quoting] these statements there is no need for me to analyze or explain [them any further]. A word to the wise is sufficient. Suffice it to quote the words of Allah [in the Koran]: 'Those of the Children of Israel who went astray were cursed by the tongue of David, and of Jesus, son of Mary. That was because they rebelled and used to transgress (Koran 5:78).' Praise the Arab poet who said: 'The people cannot overcome anarchy without leaders, and there are no leaders when the ignorant rule.'"

[2] Al-Tunisi (b. 1915) was a prominent Egyptian thinker and journalist. His Arabic translation of The Protocols of the Elders of Zion first appeared in 1951 and has since been reprinted in numerous editions. The introduction mentioned in the article, which was added to the second edition, published in 1961, is by well-known Egyptian writer 'Abbas Mahmoud Al-'Aqqad (1889-1964).
