On May 20, 2012, Al-Qaeda's front group in Yemen, Ansar Al-Shari'a, published the 19th issue of its newsletter. This issue, which like previous issues was produced by the group's media wing, the Madad News Agency, is dedicated in its entirety to the increasing U.S. drone attacks on the group's members in Yemen. Calling the attacks an indiscriminate "Crusader war" against Yemen, it berates Yemen's religious scholars for failing to respond to these attacks, and urges them to declare jihad against the U.S.
