In a March 22, 2012 article in the PA daily Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, columnist 'Adel Abd Al-Rahman claimed that Israel cynically exploits the Holocaust while committing a holocaust against the Palestinian people. Therefore, he said, Israel will suffer the same fate as Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy.
The following are excerpts from the article:[1]
"What is Not Acceptable… is [the Way in Which] the Rulers of the Racist Israeli State Trade in the Holocaust, and Their Attempts to Abuse It in Order to Strengthen Their Method of War and Control Over the Peoples of the World"
"World War II (1939-1945) spilled the blood of all peoples in the world. The peoples of the Soviet Union (before its collapse in the early 1990s), Europe, and Japan paid a heavy price that exceeded 50 million fatalities. According to some sources, the number was as high as 70 million. The Soviet Union alone suffered 20 million deaths in additions to the millions of injured and the heavy damage inflicted on cities, villages, and all domains of life. Of course, the Nazi Holocaust also targeted the Jews... According to some sources, the number of [Jewish] victims was six million; according to others it was two million, or even less. Regardless of the Jewish death toll, Hitler clearly committed a holocaust against European Jewry.

"However, the Holocaust did not target only Jews. The Jewish issue must not be emphasized at the expense of the tens of millions [of other victims], since fascism and Nazism were a holocaust for the entire world. What happened to the peoples of Germany, the Soviet Union, Japan, France, England, Poland, Czechoslovakia and others was indescribable. Therefore, the peoples of the world must not remain silent as the Israeli apartheid state monopolizes the Holocaust caused by Hitler's Nazism and Mussolini's fascism. Israel, as a state, did not exist back then, and peoples were targeted regardless of their religion, beliefs, or political and philosophical stances. The main purpose of the Nazi and fascist states (Germany, Italy, and Japan) was to change the balance of power and influence, and the [division of] world markets, and to take the lion's share of the old imperialist pie.
"No one denies the Jewish Holocaust. But what is not acceptable to the enlightened, peace-loving peoples of the world is [the way in which] the rulers of the racist Israeli state trade in the Holocaust, and their attempts to abuse it in order to strengthen their method of war and control over the peoples of the world; to expel the Palestinian Arab people from its land; to create the holocaust and the Nakba of 1948, 1967, and 2002; to continue with the language of settlement imperialism; to reject the option of peace and resolution [of the conflict]; and to stockpile nuclear, biological, chemical, and phosphorus weapons, which are banned by the international community. It is no longer acceptable for Israeli leaders to play the victim, since the whole world already knows that the state of Israel is the lynchpin of the obvious Zionist colonialist plan, which occupies [the land] at the expense of the Palestinian people. It is the hangman [and not the victim]. This game, [namely Israel's] belief that the peoples of the world are stupid, is no longer acceptable to these peoples..."
"Trading in the Blood of European Holocaust Victims No Longer Helps"
"The Israeli state of occupation and hostility must urgently spread the language of peace, coexistence, and tolerance, rather than war and holocaust, and desist from inflicting holocausts on the peoples of the world – especially the Israeli and Palestinian peoples. Trading in the blood of European Holocaust victims no longer helps, since [this method] is bankrupt, and is a thing of the past.
"[Israeli leaders Benjamin] Netanyahu, [Avigdor] Lieberman, [Eli] Yishai, and [Moshe] Ya'alon should stop playing with death and war and return to the path of peace, which is the only path that guarantees victory over the fascist holocausts in Israel and elsewhere... The experiences of Hitler, Mussolini, and other warmongers are the best evidence of the failure and the destruction [that await] warmongers and their supporters. America's experience in Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan is [also] good evidence for this. Israel is no exception, and is destined to pay a price that will threaten its fate, since it is a holocaust state."
