Below are excerpts from three articles by Pakistani and Indian writers assessing the strength of Al-Qaeda and its regional affiliates and their ability to carry out terror attacks a year after Osama bin Laden's killing, and warning that the regional command and control systems of Al-Qaeda remain in place, and that following the drawdown of U.S. troops in Afghanistan by 2014, the South Asian terror groups would find a surplus of jihadi fighters.
