March 31, 2012 Special Dispatch No.4618 Taliban Website's Assessment of War In February 2012: 'Mujahideen, Yet Again, Emerged As Victors With [a] Strong Stance And Achievements Of The Jihad On Both The Military And Political Fronts' The website for the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (the Taliban's shadow government in the country) has published a report assessing the war-related developments in Afghanistan during February 2012. The report notes deaths of NATO/U.S. troops, the desecration of the Koran by U.S. troops and protests by Afghans as well as the killing of top U.S. officials inside the Ministry of Interior in Kabul, forcing the U.S. to withdraw officials from government offices.
