Urdu Magazine: 'The Prophet Muhammad Left No Legacy To the Ummah Except Weapons'; 'The Mujahideen… Are More Ready Than Ever to Conquer Pakistan through the Path of the Prophet (Jihad and Qital in the Path of Allah)'

In two articles and an editorial in Nawa-i-Afghan Jihad, an Urdu-language jihadist magazine published in the Afghanistan-Pakistan region, pro-Taliban writers examine the economic crisis in the Western countries and cite examples from history to argue that developments in science and technology are no guarantee of victor in war, and that even technologically advanced nations have been defeated.

In the first article, titled "The Downfall of the Christian World and the Rise Of Islam: The Setting Sun of the Capitalist System," Syed Manzoor Ahmad Gilani argues that the "sun" of capitalism is setting and that Muslims should strive to introduce the world to an Islamic system. Gilani says that "the growing disparity between rich and poor is an important cause of the downfall of capitalism" and claims that "only the chaste system of Sharia can provide peace and harmony to the world."

In the second article, titled "The Role of Technology in the Downfall of the Ummah," Neyaz Swati cites examples from history to argue that developments in science and technology have not led to victories in war, citing as examples Vietnam and Afghanistan. On the contrary, he says, such developments bring down social, religious, moral, and family values, leading to a nation's downfall.

Also in the magazine, an editorial, titled "The One (Peace Be Upon Him) Who Gave a Sword To His Ummah As a Legacy," argues that the Prophet Muhammad left no legacy but weapons, noting: "When the Prophet Muhammad was leaving this world, even the oil in the lamp was given as a courtesy by neighbors- but even under such conditions, nine swords and suits of armor hung on the walls of his blessed room." ...
