In a new video statement, Omar Khalid Khorasani, the Emir of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) for Mohmand Agency, explains the reason behind the establishment of the TTP and the circumstances in which it was formed, and warns of revenge against Pakistani government institutions while outlining a vision for the enforcement of Islamic rule across the world. The TTP commander, who has emerged as an influential commander in recent months, notes that the TTP was formed after the fall of the Taliban government in Afghanistan in 2001, which came as a result of the Pakistani support to the United States.
The 27:59 minute-long video was produced by Umar Studio, the electronic media arm of the TTP, and was published on a jihadist internet forum. In the video, Khorasani is accompanied by two guards, one of whom appears to be teenager.
