Young Nasrallah Wannabe Demonstrates His Mastery of His Hero's Words and Mannerisms

Following are excerpts from an interview with an Egyptian child, Ashraf Magdi, which aired on Al-Manar TV on February 3, 2012.

Ashraf Magdi: "My name is Ashraf Magdi, and I am five and a half years old. I go to kindergarten. I love Sayyid [Hassan Nasrallah] because I love everything about him.

"I imitate Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah because I love him very much.

"When I grow up, I want to be like him."

Hizbullah propaganda song

Hizbullah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah: "What the Israeli airforce did in the first half – or during the 33 days of the July [2006] war – it is incapable of doing any more than that."

Ashraf Magdi: "What the Israeli airforce did in the first half – or during the 33 days of the July [2006] war – it is incapable of doing any more than that.

"In other words, nobody can scare us. Okay, it is capable of destroying. Great. I respond to them at the August 14 rally. I said to them: 'If you strike a blow at Beirut, we will strike Tel Aviv. We do not want war.'

"Let nobody come tomorrow and look at Lebanon as if the decision with regard to war or peace… We do not want war."

Hassan Nasrallah: "Let nobody come tomorrow and look at Lebanon as if the decision with regard to war or peace… We do not want war."

Ashraf Magdi: "It is not fear, or cowardice, or weakness. We long for it, but we do not want it."

Hassan Nasrallah: "It's not that we want it – we long for it. We long for it, not just want it."

Ashraf Magdi: "But we don't want it.

"If you strike a blow at Dahiya, we will strike Tel Aviv. […]

"If you destroy buildings in Dahiya, we will destroy buildings in Tel Aviv."

Hassan Nasrallah: "If you destroy buildings in Dahiya, we will destroy buildings in Tel Aviv. […]

"Today, I would like to say to the Israelis: Not only if you strike Dahiya, we will strike Tel Aviv…"

Ashraf Magdi: "But if you strike Rafiq Al-Hariri International Airport in Beirut, we will strike Ben-Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv."

Hassan Nasrallah: "If you strike our sea ports, we will shell your sea ports."

Ashraf Magdi: "If you strike our oil refineries, we will shell our oil refineries."

Hassan Nasrallah: "If you shell our factories, we will shell your factories." […]

Ashraf Magdi: "Sayyid Hassan, I would like to see you. I dream of seeing you. Can I meet you? I ask you to make my dream come true."

Hizbullah propaganda song

"I say to Barak and to all the governments of the enemy that threatens Lebanon what I have said in the past: The Islamic resistance, alongside the Lebanese Army, will be in a state of high alert. I pledge to you that if any of you even thinks of carrying out any stupid act of aggression against Lebanon, our response will be mighty. If any of you even thinks of entering our land with five or ten divisions, I pledge that the resistance will destroy your divisions and your army in South Lebanon." […]
