ISI Spokesman: 'We Have Never Fought to [Liberate] the Land, But to Establish A Caliphate and To Instate Shar'ia; We Fight To Instate [The Religion of] Allah Worldwide'

The Al-Qaeda website Al-Fida' posted an audio recording by Islamic State of Iraq (ISI) official spokesman Sheikh Abu Muhammad Al-'Adnani, titled "Now, Now the War Has Come." In the recording, Al-'Adnani says that the U.S. has not accomplished a single one of the goals for which it entered Afghanistan and Iraq, and that it is exiting the countries defeated and humiliated, suffering heavy losses of life and money. He accuses the Iraqi government of being subjugate to the U.S. and loyal to Iran, and calls on Sunnis in the Iraqi security apparatuses and the Sahawat ("Awakening") movement to repent and join the mujahideen in order to fight the "new Shi'ites," promising them that "Allah's victory is near." He calls on the mujahideen to stand firm, because they are fighting the war of the Sunnis in Iraq, Syria, and the Arabian Peninsula, and that if they break it will mean the end of all of these countries. The recording, 42 minutes in duration, was produced by the ISI's media company, Al-Furqan....
