Taliban Statement Accuses the U.S. of Spreading AIDS in Afghanistan

The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (the Taliban's shadow government) has published a statement accusing the United States and the West of spreading AIDS and obscenities among the masses in Afghanistan.

The statement noted, "In order to spread immorality, foreign hotels, guest houses, and hundreds of other immodest centers were built, and countless prostitutes were brought in from abroad so the Muslim Afghan masses can be smeared in vulgarity and AIDS."

Following is the text of the statement:[1]

"America and the West… Have Also Tried to Corrupt the Afghan Masses… While AIDS has Also Been Made a Part of that Gift Which was Brought to Afghanistan 10 Years Ago"

"Sources from the hospitals of the stooge Kabul regime say that recently, a number of health care centers took blood samples from people for illness-diagnosing purposes in which 3,000 cases of the deadly AIDS virus were positively identified. Sources say that they accidently came across the cases, meaning if thorough research and surveys were to be carried out, this number could skyrocket!

"American newspaper (The New York Times) also mentioned AIDS or the HIV virus in Afghanistan, stating, 'No one had heard about a single case of AIDS 10 years ago in Afghanistan and the country was considered as one of the few shielded from the worst ravages of the AIDS pandemic.' Why is it now that alongside war, AIDS has also been able to spread, and it has been noted that thousands of Afghans have been diagnosed with this deadly virus?

"[During the past]… decade of American crime and savagery in Afghanistan…  various chemical and banned weapons have been used against the Afghan populace, large villages have been flattened in airstrikes, and the Afghans have been butchered in front of their fathers, mothers, and children during searches.

"Without a doubt, America and the West, in accordance with their plans, have also tried to corrupt the Afghan masses, pushed them away from their religion and from following Islam, while AIDS has also been made a part of that gift which was brought to Afghanistan 10 years ago! In order to spread immorality, foreign hotels, guest houses, and hundreds of other immodest centers were built and countless prostitutes were brought in from aboard so that the Muslim Afghan masses could be smeared in vulgarity and AIDS."

"The Accursed American Democracy is the Sole Reason Behind the Spreading of Christianity, AIDS, Drugs, Intoxicants, and Various Obscenities and Perversities"

"At this very moment, women in the small and large cities of Afghanistan are being encouraged to seek divorce from their husbands over small quarrels and to consider it as an insignificant act. Three million Afghans are addicted to drugs, alcohol is readily consumed in hotels, restaurants, and wedding halls, and all of this has been brought here by the American democracy!

"The astonishing part about all this is that there are still a number of such people who observe and admit that the accursed American democracy is the sole reason behind the spreading of Christianity, AIDS, drugs, intoxicants, and various obscenities and perversities but even on top of all of that consider the American occupation beneficial for Afghans and openly show their optimism for the establishment of permanent U.S. bases and give it approval for the next 10 years.

"Afghanistan is caught in the vortex of Christianity, AIDS, and immorality to the extent that, may Allah forbid, if the occupation is prolonged and American bases made permanent, who knows to what extent obscenity will reach? How many millions of Afghans will contract AIDS? And how many Afghans will apostate to Christianity?

"We believe the only antidote for neutralizing all of these American plans and traps is to cleanse the country from the invaders. We trust that the All-Powerful and Almighty Allah will strengthen the Mujahideen and, with the blessing of their sacrifices, free Afghanistan from all the ongoing calamities, anti-Islam plots, and other deadly viruses of the enemy including AIDS, and the glow of the magniloquent Muhammadi Sharia [i.e. Islamic Sharia of Prophet Muhammad] will once again be established on this soil (Allah Willing)."
