On October 29, 2011 the Somali jihad organization Al-Shabab Al-Mujahideen carried out an attack on a Mogadishu base of the African Union Mission in Somalia's (AMISOM) force. A Somali website posted an audio file of what it said was message recorded by a Somali-American identified as "'Abdi Salam," one of the suicide bombers in the attack.
