Jihadi Book Justifies Killing of Non-Muslim Women and Children in Retaliation for Killing of Muslim Women and Children

On July 30, 2011, the jihadi forum Ansar Al-Mujahideen published a new e-book by Sheikh Abu Al-Hassan Al-Azdi titled The Just Scale - On the Permissibility of Killing the Infidels' Children and Women as Reprisal. As its title suggests, the book seeks to provide religious justification for killing women and children in attacks that come in response to aggression against Muslims. The author presents alleged proofs for his position from the Islamic sources, as well as commentary on each proof by Islamic scholars. In certain cases he also rebuts theoretical arguments that might be brought against the proof's validity.

In the introduction, Al-Azdi rebukes mainstream Muslim scholars for denouncing the mujahideen's attacks on women and children while ignoring attacks by non-Muslims that cause deaths among women and children. Each of the subsequent eight chapters expound on one or more Koranic verses or hadiths, which Al-Azdi presents as supporting his thesis. Following is a brief overview of the book:

In the introduction, Al-Azdi states: "When the infidels, the enemies of the faith, [began] to harm the Muslims and rushed to [perpetrate] evil and tyranny, violate taboos, and kill women and children, to the extent that things could not get any worse... a band of believers stood up to end this hostility and pay [the infidels] back for it many times over, with justice and fairness... ...
