Following are excerpts from a TV report and interview with parents of a 15-year-old boy was murdered by the Syrian regime, which aired on Al-Arabiya TV on August 26, 2011:
Reporter: "On April 29, tens of thousands of Syrians waged demonstrations in support of the people of Daraa, as the Syrian army tightened its siege upon it. The people of the villages nearby took to the streets that day to save Daraa. Among them was a 15-year-old boy. Tamer Al-Shar'i was among the 300 demonstrators to be detained by the Syrian security forces, after being ambushed by the security forces on the route to Daraa." [...]
Tamer Al-Shar'i's father: "There was firing as if we were a military front. The demonstrators were all peaceful. They were all shouting: 'Peaceful change' and holding olive branches. The kids were carrying bread and milk. My son Tamer was among them, of course."
Reporter: "Tamer left carrying bread and returned as a dismembered body."

Tamer Al-Shar'i's mother: "I don't know... His sisters don't understand either... What did they do to him? He doesn't have a body. Where is my son? They left nothing of him. His hands were broken, his legs... I identified him by his hands, which are broad, just like his father's."
Tamer Al-Shar'i's father: "We met with the inquiry committee. The report said that there were 9 to 11 bullets. I have the medical report, which confirms it, according to the inquiry committee and signed by the Health Ministry.
"They drilled a hole here [points to his forehead], and here there was a hole this size [points to his cheek]. Here, in his teeth, in his right arm there was a bullet. There was a drill hole here [points to his left arm], which broke his arm. In his leg there were two bullets, and the leg was broken, and in his right thigh there were three bullets. [...]
"It was Bashar Al-Assad who gave the order to open fire, and I hold him personally responsible."
Mother of Tamer Al-Shar'i: "What did Tamer, or Hamza, or anybody do wrong? Did they bear arms? Throughout Syria, you won't find anybody with weapons." [...]
