The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan Hopes for Egypt-Like Uprising Against U.S. in Afghanistan, Says: 'The Egyptian People Must Use These Crucial Moments To Their Advantage and Carve Out a New Political Life and Direction As a Muslim Nation'

The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (the Taliban's shadow government in Afghanistan) today issued a statement lauding the recent Egyptian uprising and expressing hope for a similar uprising against the U.S. in Afghanistan.

The statement, titled ''Response of the Islamic Emirate Regarding the Victory of the Popular Uprising in Egypt,'' was published on the official website of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. ...
