December 22, 2010 Special Dispatch No.3465 Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan Issues Statement on Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, Says It is Awaiting Another Saladin To Free It 'From Evil Hands Of Jews' The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, the Taliban's shadow government in Afghanistan, yesterday released a statement on the status of Jerusalem's Al-Aqsa mosque. The Taliban statements generally focus on their fighting in Afghanistan or on international issues insofar as they are concerned with Afghanistan. The statement about Al-Aqsa mosque is a rare statement from the Taliban. Titled "Al-Aqsa Weeping For Another Ayubi," the Taliban statement calls for another Salah Al-Din Al-Ayubi.
