On June 15, 2010, Al-Qaeda's media wing Al-Sahab released a posthumous audio recording from Mustafa Abu Al-Yazid, aka Sa'id Al-Masri, one of Al-Qaeda's top commanders who was killed in a U.S. airstrike in May 2010.
In the 26-minute audio message, Abu Al-Yazid urges his listeners to carry out attacks inside the U.S. It seems from his address that he is encouraging independent terror initiatives as a complement to centrally organized Al-Qaeda operations.
