On November 12, 2009, eight Islamist and nationalist websites that oppose the occupation in Iraq issued an "urgent call" exhorting all the Sunni "jihad groups" and "resistance groups" in Iraq, and their websites, to unite and join their efforts. The call was posted on www.hanein.info by an individual calling himself Al-Fares Al-'Arabi ("The Arab Knight"), described as the website's secretary, and was posted as well on www.alboraq.info, www.muslm.net, www.kawlfasil.com, www.iraqipa.net, www.alittehad.net, www.alwalanews.wordpress.com, and www.as-ansar.com. The document was also signed by Sheikh Taha Al-Dulaimi and by over 100 contributors to these websites.
