Tehran Friday Sermon by Cleric Kazem Sedighi: Our Weapons Have Religious Significance

#2249 | 01:20
Source: Channel 1 (Iran)

Following are excerpts from a Friday sermon at Tehran University delivered by Iranian cleric Kazem Sedighi. The sermon aired on Channel 1 on October 9, 2009.

Kazem Sedighi: Our enemies are agitated and reckless. They are violators and plunderers, who want more than they deserve. They strive to gain monopoly. We too should have sufficient power of defense to maintain our independence, our existence, and our great moral and spiritual values. For this purpose, we have obtained weapons of deterrence, and we will continue to do so. Therefore, regarding this matter, we reassure the world that we have no intention to invade or attack. However, our weapons have religious significance for us.

In order to be immune to the most evil of evils, not only will we have such weapons, but we will conduct war games, and brag to the world that we have these weapons, and we will not let any invader invade our country in any way, and violate our legitimate rights.
