Hamas Official In Tehran Urges Supporters Around The World To Donate To Gazans Through Iran-Backed Youth Group

On October 21, 2023, "The Global Youth Front of Resistance," a Telegram channel in Farsi linked to an Iran-backed group with the same name, announced a donation campaign in support of Gaza.[1]

The post featured a video showing Hamas representative in Tehran Khalid Al-Qadoumi urging in Arabic supporters around the world to donate using a bank number associated with the group.

In the video, he explained that "the Global Front of Resistance" is a popular support group that comprises young elites such as students, adding that it has a good reputation in providing social work and humanitarian aid.

The Hamas official said the donations will be spent to assist the people of Gaza.

Describing the video, the post reads: "An official invitation by the representative of Hamas to help the oppressed people of Gaza through the Global Youth Front Of Resistance. Khalid Al-Qadoumi, representative of Hamas: Gaza has suffered the worst damage in the past 70 years."

The post went on to cite Al-Qadoumi as saying that the channel "has a special plan to help the oppressed people of Gaza; therefore, I invite all supporters to make their donations through the Global Youth Front of Resistance which is trusted by us."

The post listed a credit card number for potential doners.
