Former Kuwaiti MP Threatens Abduction of U.S. Soldiers to Force the Release of Guantanamo Prisoners

Following are excerpts from an address by former Kuwaiti MP Mohammed Hayef Al-Mutairi, delivered at a rally for the release of Kuwaitis held in Guantanamo Bay. The address was posted on the Internet on March 31, 2013.


Mohammed Hayef Al-Mutairi: The patience that the Kuwaiti people have shown toward the Americans all these years has not been effective. The Americans stroll freely in our markets and in our gatherings. The Kuwaiti people is capable of abducting two American soldiers, in order to bring America to its knees, to make it act with respect, and to force it to contact the Kuwaiti government immediately.


However, because the Kuwaiti people does not employ the same bad methods as the Americans, it maintains its friendly ties and abides by the same laws that are not respected by the Americans.
