Following are excerpts from a speech delivered by Abd Al-Hadi Mahfouz, president of the Lebanese National Media Council, which aired on Al-Alam TV on March14, 2013.

Abd Al-Hadi Mahfouz: The European decision to remove Al-Alam TV [from the Eutelsat satellite] is undoubtedly a political decision, part of the policy of siege and sanctions against Iran, in an effort to prevent it from obtaining nuclear knowledge, on which the West has a monopoly.

The Zionist media institute MEMRI undoubtedly played a role in this. This institute inundates the EU with erroneous information regarding Arab and Islamic TV and radio, accusing them of anti-Semitism.

These are obviously false allegations, as we are Semitic peoples.
