Sealed with a Kiss: Islamist Jordanian MP Smooches Mic to Celebrate His Return to Parliament

Following are excerpts from a parliamentary address delivered by Islamist Jordanian MP Abd Al-Majid Al-Aqtash, which was posted on the Internet on March 4, 2013:

Abd Al-Majid Al-Aqtash: First, I ask the speaker and my colleagues to allow me to kiss this microphone – a microphone I was denied for thirteen years. As you know, I ran for a seat in the 14th, 15th, and 16th, parliaments, but unfortunately, the wolves pounced on poor little Al-Aqtash, and poor little Al-Aqtash did not even know what hit him. Praised be Allah for allowing me to return here in one piece for this 17th term.

He then kisses the microphone and is applauded by the MPs
