Ibrahim Al-Amin, Editor-in-Chief of the Lebanese Al-Akhbar Newspaper: The Resistance Is Meaningless Unless It Strives to Eliminate Israel

Following are excerpts from an interview with Lebanese journalist Ibrahim Al-Amin, editor-in-chief of Al-Akhbar. The interview aired on Al-Manar TV on February 16, 2012.

Ibrahim Al-Amin: The essence of the Islamic resistance in Lebanon is connected with the conflict with Israel. I was once asked by a journalist until when Hizbullah would keep its arms. My response was: until the annihilation of Israel. He said: But Hizbullah doesn't say this. I said to him: I, personally, do not lie. Let me tell you, the resistance in Lebanon is meaningless if it does not engage in the main battle to eliminate the Israeli entity.
