Following are statements
made by Syrian opposition cleric Sheik Adnan Al-'Ar'our during a visit
to Libya, which aired on Safa TV on January 2, 2012:
Sheik Adnan Al-'Ar'our:
This [missile] should have been used against the enemies of the nation.
It should have been filled with sugar, rice, and oil for the needy of
Libya, the Arabs, the Muslims, and the entire world, instead of being
loaded with shells, which left behind handicapped, wounded, bereaved,
and orphans. These missiles should not be bought in order to shell peoples.
These tyrants denied
their people happiness and money in order to buy such missiles to defend
themselves. How many mothers have been left bereaved by these weapons?
How many children have been orphaned by these cannons? Over here, we
have missiles launchers, with which homes were bombarded indiscriminately.
Check out these tyrants' [implements]. I'm afraid that the Libyans will
be mad at me if I tell them that our tyrant is greater than theirs,
despite all the tyranny Libya has undergone. Our tyrant's missiles are
bigger and have a greater range. His criminality is more barbaric. He
has flayed people alive.

Beware, oh Syrian people,
not to think that victory may come from the Arab League. Beware not
to think that victory may come from NATO. Beware not to think that victory
may come from the National Council, the Security Council, or anyone
else. Victory comes from Allah, and whoever does not want to learn the
lesson should go home.
