Following are excerpts
from an interview with Sonja Al-Rassi, daughter of former Lebanese president
Suleiman Faranjieh, which aired on
OTV on October 23, 2011.
Sonja Al-Rassi:
The Muslim Brotherhood is more than welcome to operate in the mosques,
but they cannot express their views out in the streets. By the same
token, I'm not happy when I see a priest expressing his opinion in political
matters. That's not his business.
The Muslim Brotherhood
should teach Muslims how to act with purity, but they should not teach
me. They have nothing to do with me.
Today, you have the Muslim
Brotherhood in Syria, the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, the Muslim Brotherhood
in... If the Americans want the Muslim Brotherhood, let them take it
to America.
Forgive me if you do
not agree, but the Americans pretend that it was 19 wretched Saudis
who brought down the Twin Towers because they were Muslim Brotherhood...
Interviewer: I
don't know what happened...
Sonja Al-Rassi:
Bravo if they managed to pull it off.
Interviewer: What
do you think of this attack?
Sonja Al-Rassi:
The [Americans] themselves did it.
Interviewer: Is
it conceivable that they did it...
Sonja Al-Rassi:
Why, who sank the Lusitania?
Interviewer: It
made America enter World War I. What about Pearl Harbor? There are reports
that the US military intelligence had known about the Japanese attack,
but let it happen...
Sonja Al-Rassi:
They let it happen. They told the Japanese to choose between Saturday
and Sunday when everybody was off duty.
