Lebanese MP Uqab Saqr Attacks Hizbullah and Calls to Disarm It from Its Weapons

Following are excerpts from a public address delivered by Lebanese MP Uqab Saqr, which aired on OTV and on Future News TV on March 6, 2011:

Uqab Saqr: Let nobody be under the illusion that he can tell you that he speaks in the name of the Shiites of Hussein, and then sell the blood of Rafiq Al-Hariri short, because the blood of Rafiq Al-Hariri is the blood of every Lebanese and every Arab. They are accusing the people of Akkar of fundamentalism. So be it.

What's wrong with fundamentalism and with a return to one's roots? On the contrary, we are in need of fundamentalist Muslims, rather than "fabricated" Muslims, like in some Gulf states and others in the region, which purport to be Muslim. A Salafi Muslim is an honorable and God-fearing Muslim, who can be relied upon in the building of Islam. He is preferable to the Westernized or Easternized Muslim, who attacks Islam in the service of others.

Our common enemies are Israel and whoever serves Israel, by using the weapon of accusations of treason, and by doing Israel a service by turning his weapons inside Lebanon.

If you are prepared to use your weapons against the Lebanese, we have decided, along with Sa'd Al-Hariri, to return to the roots, in order to uproot these weapons.
