[The prisoners] set out on Jihad for the sake of Allah. Jihad for the sake of Allah has become a crime. The promotion of good has become a vice, and vice has become a good thing. May Allah help us. We want to enslave the people to God.

Demonstrator from the podium: Someone who stole the lands of the state, and sold them for a handful of dirhams, is still in power, while someone else, who donates a few hundred dollars to the needy, is brought before the state security court. Someone who sold and distributed the lands of the Jordan tribes... Someone who gave these lands to Christian and other women is still the master, while people who say "Allah is my God" have been sent to prison, and have been brought before the state security court.
