from a report on Juma'at-ud-Da'wah in Kashmir, which aired on Al-Jazeera
TV on July 16, 2010:
Reporter: The
Kashmiri public is pessimistic about the talks being held by the Indian
delegation in Pakistan. Hundreds of meetings have been held in recent
decades, but with no results.

Juma'at-ud-Da'wah came
to the forefront after the ban on Lashkar-e-Taiba, which is accused
of carrying out the Mumbai attacks. Juma'at-ud-Da'wah believes that
the negotiations are a waste of time, and that Jihad is the only solution.
That is what Abdul Aziz Alvi, the leader of the organization in Kashmir,
said, when I interviewed him near the city of Muzaffarabad.

Alvi: After lengthy negotiations, over the decades, the entire
Kashmiri nation – not only the Juma'at-ud-Da'wah – has reached the
conclusion that the problem of Kashmir can only be resolved through
Jihad. India does not understand anything but the language of force.
