Saudi Cleric Sheik Muhammad Al-'Arifi Calls for Jihad and Says: It Is Enough to Gesture toward the Jews with Your Stick in Order to Discipline Them

Following are excerpts from an interview with Saudi cleric Sheik Muhammad Al-'Arifi, which aired on Iqra TV, on June 4, 2010:

Muhammad Al-'Arifi: Until when will we do nothing but make TV shows? Until when will we do nothing but issue a communiqué, signed by a group of sheiks preachers, and Islamic scholars, in condemnation of the siege on Gaza and so on?

Has the time not come for us to raise the banner of Jihad for the sake of Allah? Has the time not come for a sensible person from among our folk, from among the leaders of the Islamic nation, whether Arab or not, to raise the banner of Jihad for the sake of Allah and in support of the Muslim causes?

When it comes to the Jews, it is enough to make a gesture with your stick. You don’t have to actually beat them. “They think that every cry is against them. They are the enemy, therefore beware of them, may Allah destroy them. How deluded they are.” It is enough to make a gesture with your stick in order to discipline them – even before beating them.
