Following are excerpts from a speech delivered by Libyan Leader Mu'ammar Al-Qadhafi, which aired on Al-Jazeera TV on June 13, 2010.

Mu'ammar Al-Qadhafi: The organization that supervises the soccer World Cup, FIFA – the International Football Federation, is the most corrupt organization in the world. It has corrupted the world. We must show no mercy or respect to FIFA, because it has harmed the world and has corrupted its values.

FIFA has embarked upon a new policy of human trafficking. Slavery has returned, after it was banned by the Berlin Conference. FIFA has brought slavery back.

How come the small, poor countries – numbering almost 200 – are denied for all eternity the option of hosting the World Cup? Only rich countries get to host the World Cup. We, the small, poor countries, have the right to host the World Cup, just like any other country.
