Abu 'Alaa Praises Fatah Terrorist Khaled Abu Asba' Who States: We Need to Combine Politics with Military Activity

Following are excerpts from footage showing the honor bestowed uponterrorist Khaled Abu Asba’ in the Fatah convention. The footage aired on PA TV on August 1 and 4, 2009.

Former PA prime minister Ahmad Qurei’ “Abu ‘Alaa”: We have with us today the hero Khaled Abu Asba’, the hero from the [1978] operation of the martyr Dalal A-Mughrabi.1 We salute and welcome him, and [we say] to the martyred heroine Dalal: All glory to you, all glory to you. All our sisters here are the sister of Dalal.

Khaled Abu Asba’: The political activity and the military activity should be parallel. They should go hand in hand. Two parallel tracks. Like the saying goes: Using a gun without politics is nothing but robbery. Our guns are not... We are not highway robbers. We are politicians. A group of the brothers works in politics, another group deals with organization, and another group deals with the military aspect, and so on. All these aspects should be combined in the service on one goal – Palestine.

1 The reference is to an attack on an Israeli bus on the coastal highway in 1978, in which 38 Israelis were killed.
