Palestinian Cleric Issam Amira at Al-Aqsa Mosque: Morsi Should Have Executed Military Commanders; Egyptian Army Would Have Occupied Half of Israel by Now

In an address delivered at the Al-Aqsa Mosque on July 1, 2015, Palestinian cleric Issam Amira said: "If Morsi, when he came to power, had arrested 60-70 officers from among the American collaborators in the military, and had hanged them from the gallows, or even executed them in secret, the Egyptian army would have been all the way to Zikhron Yaakov by now."

Following are excerpts:

Issam Amira: The basic solution to this problem lies in the replacement of the army commanders. I am not accusing the Muslim soldier of cowardice. Absolutely not. Even without being soldiers, the Muslims have given rise to ISIS and to vehicular attackers. They are courageous. Muslim soldiers are courageous. The Muslim is born a mujahid because Jihad is a custom deeply engraved in this blessed nation.

But the problem is that under normal circumstances, a soldier does not take action unless he receives orders. It is called “military hierarchy.” There is a commander, beneath whom there is a lesser officer, and so on, with the soldier at the bottom. Unless there are orders, the soldier does not act. The Iraqi army said that they did not have orders (to fight ISIS). Without orders, there can be no fighting. If a soldier receives orders to fall back, he has no choice but to comply, or else he is court martialed and executed for disobeying a military order. Hence, the solution is to replace the commanders of the armies.

May Allah bring the release of Morsi. If Morsi, when he came to power, had arrested 60-70 officers from among the American collaborators in the military, and hanged them from the gallows, or even executed them in secret, and had replaced them with pure military commanders, the Egyptian army would have been all the way to Zikhron Yaakov by now.

[May] Allah soon reward the Islamic nation with a second rightly-guided caliphate. It will mobilize the armies which will liberate the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

They shall destroy the Jewish entity, and all the aspects of sovereignty that they have established, but I do not think that the Islamic army will destroy everything that they have built – the settlements, the airports, and the factories. Allah willing, these will be taken as booty by the Muslims.
