Lawyer Issa Bin Haidar has offered President Obama a job in his UAE law firm after he completes his term as U.S. president. Haidar, who made the offer through Twitter, said in an interview with the Al-Arabiya network that "Arab Muslims are perceived by American society as terrorists, who might blow themselves up at any given moment," and that this would be an opportunity for Obama to get to know Arab society from up close. The interview was held on May 18, 2016.
Following are excerpts
Host: A UAE lawyer, Issa Bin Haidar, has made an offer, described as "peculiar," to US President Barack Obama, whose term ends in a few months.
Issa Bin Haider: The eight years President Obama was in power have been very difficult for the Arab world. The image of the Arabs has been tarnished by the emergence of ISIS and other terrorist organizations. Arab Muslims are perceived by American society as terrorists, who might blow themselves up at any given moment. People who live with us in our Arab and Islamic societies know that this is not the case. This was a message directed at the Americans, represented by their president. When he compares his term, he is invited to return to the legal field, and work in an Arab country, where he can get to know the Arabs up close, and realize how tolerant the Islamic religion is.

Obama is still studying the offer. The offer is a serious one. If Obama thinks that he can live as a regular person living in an (Arab) society, he can join us in our firm.
