Libyan Information Minister: Britain, U.S., France, Zionism behind Terrorist Groups Fighting in Libya

In a recent TV interview, Libyan Information Minister Omar Qweri said that the groups fighting in Libya were steered "by a single entity" - by the foreign intelligence services of Britain, America, and France. Speaking on the Egyptian Al-Tahrir TV channel, he further said that "Zionism is behind the entire conspiracy in the Arab world" and that Qatar was "a mere tool" in the hands of Israel.

Following are excerpts from the interview, which aired on February 8, 2016.

Interviewer: Various groups are fighting one another in Libya: ISIS, Al-Qaeda, and Ansar Al-Sunna, as well as groups with ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. What do you think about this conflict in Libya?

Omar Qwer: All these groups are steered by the same entity.

Interviewer: By whom?

Omar Qwer: Foreign intelligence services.

Interviewer: Who exactly do you mean?

Omar Qwer: Britain and America. France may have a minor role. All this is well known. We have been talking for a year about ISIS in Sirte, ever since the Copts were slaughtered. They were slaughtered by a British citizen. And what did Britain do? Did it apologize to the Egyptian and Libyan peoples for this crime?
