Houthi Leader Abd Al-Malik Al-Houthi Blames the U.S. for Saudi-Led Airstrike on Sanaa: America Masterminded, Planned, and Supervised This Vile Crime

Speaking on the Yemeni Al-Masirah TV channel on October 9, a day after a Saudi-led airstrike attacked a funeral ceremony in the capital of Sanaa, Abd Al-Malik Al-Houthi, Leader of "Ansar Allah" Movement, accused the U.S. of being "the mastermind behind it, the planner, the decision-maker, and the supervisor, who manages all the details."

Abd Al-Malik Al-Houthi: "The blame for this crime should not be placed on Saudi Arabia or on the local collaborators. America is to blame for it. Despite the clear, overt and stated role of America, which includes overseeing this aggression, which was declared from Washington even before it was declared from Riyadh... All the lethal military means and instruments are American. This aggression was supervised, managed, and planned by the Americans. Deciding on the targets and surveilling them are American operations. The airplanes that strike, the bombs that attack and destroy this land and kill the people, are all American. They strike only when it has been approved and is desired by America, and when America gives the red light. It is a given - from the moment the bomb is purchased, and from the moment it is delivered.

"These vile crimes serve as a mark of shame, and a black page for America and its collaborators in the annals of history.

"America is the leader of this crime in its entirety. America is the mastermind behind it, the planner, the decision-maker, and the supervisor, who manages all the details. It can be said in all certainty that if not for the American role in this aggression, it would not have occurred in the first place. No Saudi king or prince would ever have dared to carry out such aggression or such a crime like the ones being perpetrated against the [Yemeni] people without American authorization, direction, and supervision."
