In a music video posted on the Internet on October 26, 2014, an Egyptian band called "Malaleem" performs an antisemitic song, in which a "Jew ape" betrays her Pharaonic lover. "This will be the fate of any Egyptian who believes the Jews," the lyrics go. Malaleem Band was formed in December 2010 by engineer Kareem El-Sabahy, who composed the music of "Ape Love," sings the vocals and plays the keyboard; the lyrics were written by Abd El-Rahman Zahran.

Title: "Ape Love" by Malaleem

Lyrics: Once upon a time, a Pharaonic ape fell in love with a Jew ape. This love is meaningless – but what can we say? They're apes!

Once upon a time, a Pharaonic ape fell in love with a Jew ape. This love is meaningless – but what can we say? They're apes!

The Jews were very happy and threw a party right on the border, whereas the pharaohs case a curse, as was their custom.

[The Jews] told him to choose: "Either live with us or forget about her."

The evil-eyed [ape] made him some promises.

She made him swear that he would never leave her – not even if he was swallowed alive by lions, not even if he was attacked by bombs, cannons, or rifles.

The evil-eyed [ape] made him some promises. She made him swear that he would never leave her – not even if he was swallowed alive by lions, not even if he was attacked by bombs, cannons, or rifles.

He went to see her, carrying a bag of peanuts, not roses. This the customary love gift among our ape brothers.

He knocked on her door, which was opened by an ape from the days of yore.

This ape was as broad as an elephant and almost as tall as a pole.

Our [Pharanoic ape] asked her: "Who's this?" and she said: "He's the love of my life." You were nothing but a mistake which I shall never repeat."

He fainted on the spot. Crime knows no boundaries.

This will be the fate of any Egyptian who believes the Jews.
