U.S. Presidential Hopeful Souraya Faas: The U.S. Created ISIS

#5509 | 02:13
Source: Russia Today TV (Russia)

Souraya Faas, who is running for the U.S. presidency as an independent candidate, said in a June 6 interview on Russia Today TV that ISIS is American-made. "Clinton and others have stressed this on several occasions," said Faas, who is the daughter of a Syrian immigrant to the U.S. "They said openly: We created them, not thinking that they would turn against us."

Following are excerpts

Souraya Faas: What is happening in Syria is a real tragedy. From the outset, I thought that if America had cooperated with Russia, they would have gotten rid of these terrorists in a matter of weeks.

[...]

With regard to the issue of terrorists, there is no such thing as... America deals with what it calls "moderate rebels," and when it wants, they turn into "Jihadists." This is entirely wrong. A terrorist is a terrorist, no matter what. You cannot change his name in order to paint him in a different hue.

Host: So from what you are saying, we may gather that... To a great extent, Arab public opinion believes that ISIS is American-made. Do you agree with this?

Faas: Absolutely. Clinton and others have stressed this on several occasions. They said openly: We created them, not thinking that they would turn against us.

Host: Your assets are your beauty, and your ability to speak to the Americans in their own language, but what financial sources enable you to wage an election campaign? It is well known that election campaigns are costly. You are beautiful and you try to persuade people to...

Faas: Thank you.

Host: ...but do you have additional means?

Faas: To this day, I have not taken a penny from anyone. Honestly. I have been campaigning for over a year, relying on the support of the people.

[...]

Host: At any rate, I hope that in the years to come, the American people will vote for a candidate who is not from one of the two main parties - the Republican party and the Democratic party - and that you will become the President of the United States, and then we will interview you in your new capacity. Thank you.
