Saudi Cleric Awadh Al-Qarni: The Mossad Placed Me on Its Hit List, and So Did ISIS and the Shiites

#5394 | 01:55
Source: Al-Majd TV (Saudi Arabia)

In an interview with the Saudi Al-Majd TV channel, Saudi cleric Awadh Al-Qarni discussed the recent Twitter campaign against him by Arab liberals. Sheikh Al-Qarni said that the liberals were upset because he had revealed Israel's plan to assassinate him, quoting the former head of the Israeli Mossad, who allegedly said that "if Al-Qarni is alive six months from now, I will spit in the face of the Mossad." Sheikh Al-Qarni added that ISIS and the Houthis had also placed him on their hit lists and that Arab liberals were after him as well. The interview aired on March 10, 2016.

Following are excerpts:

Interviewer: What is the secret behind the organized attacks against you on Twitter by some liberals and others? We have seen hashtags about you.

Awadh Al-Qarni: Naturally, they always attack me in their writings and so on, and I pray that Allah will reward me for enduring this. Recently, they were in an uproar when I tweeted, in passing, that the Mossad had placed a price on my head, that ISIS recently place me on their list, and over a year ago, the Houthis declared that I was the enemy of the Shiites, and that I must be finished off. Not to mention the daily liberal and secular incitement against me… You have the Safavids, ISIS, the Mossad, the liberals… They are all after me, unfortunately. I mentioned this in passing. They were in an uproar when I mentioned the humiliation of their masters – Israel and the Mossad. The former director of the Mossad said in his day: "If Al-Qarni is alive six months from now, I will spit in the face of the Mossad." When I mentioned this, they went up in arms. They started cursing and lying, so I brought them proof from Al-Arabiya TV and from newspapers that they themselves endorse, but strangely enough, they continue to lie. I think that the recent campaign against me is driven by loyalty to Israel and to the Mossad.
