Palestinian Cleric at Al-Aqsa Mosque Cites Antisemitic Hadith, Says: The Quran Exposes the True Nature of the Jews

In a lesson delivered at the Al-Aqsa Mosque, Palestinian cleric Sheik Khaled Al-Maghrabi said that "the Quran exposes the true nature [of the Jews] and that Allah "cursed them and transformed them into apes and pigs." Al-Maghrabi advised the "Israelites" to get out of the Holy Land, citing the antisemitic hadith of the stones and the trees.

Following are excerpts from the lesson, which was posted on the Internet on June 16, 2015.

Khaled Al-Maghrabi: Brothers, when the Quran talks to the people, it does so in two manners. First, it tells us about the true nature of people. For example, when the Quran talks about the Israelites - how does it describe them, when talking to us? The Quran says that Allah is angry with them, and that He cursed them and transformed them into apes and pigs. This is one manner of speech - the Quran exposes their true nature. But when Allah asks us to speak with [the Jews], He asks us to speak with them with wisdom and good admonition. These are two different manners of speech.

When I talk to the Jews, I do so with wisdom and good admonition, as Allah commanded me. But when I talk to you about the Jews, I expose their true nature. When they come to our lesson uninvited to hear what we say, they are the ones who choose to hear about their true nature, as Allahy exposed it. We did not address them directly. But when we address them directly, we use a different manner of speech. By the way, brothers, there is a certain party that chose to come to our lesson uninvited, to monitor our lessons, and to publicize them for the whole world to see. That party posted our lessons on its website in all countries of the world. They chose to do so, and we thank Allah for that. Allah placed them at our service, to spread, through their own mouths, the words: "There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is His messenger." It was them - not us - who chose to expose their true nature, which Allah has made clear to us. They themselves chose to do so. It is by the grace of Allah, my brothers, that Allah placed them at our service and turned them into a means to expose their true nature through their own mouths.

My third piece of advice to the Israelites is that if they do not convert to Islam, and say: "There is no god but Allah and Muhammad is His messenger," I advise them to get out of the occupied Holy Land. Leave this land to its people and get out. This is the command of Allah. Your return and presence in this land is a violation of Allah's command. For this violation, there will be a terrible and painful punishment by Allah. There will be destruction. Just as Allah killed the peoples of Noah, 'Aad, Thamud and the People of the Well, He will kill the Israelites. This is imminent, my brothers. What was our third piece of advice to the Israelites? We advised them to leave this Holy Land. Will the Israelites actually leave the Holy Land? No, that is impossible. They will never leave it. How come? It is because we know, from the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad, that at the End of Time, there will be a war between us and the Israelites in the Holy Land. In that war, the trees and stones will speak. They will say: "Oh Muslim, there is a Jew behind me. Come and kill him!"
