British Islamist Abu Baraa in Support of ISIS: We Can Start Having Slave Girls Again

In several videos, posted on the Internet during July and August, British Islamist Mizanur Rahman (a.k.a. Abu Baraa) came out in defense of the Islamic State. According to Abu Baraa, non-Muslims would benefit from the jizya poll tax, to be paid once they live under the Caliphate. The possession of slavegirls would also be permissible, he said.

Abu Baraa: "For the last 90 years, people have been waiting for the Caliphate. Some people have been waiting, and some people have been working for the Caliphate. This is the difference between the one who has just been sitting and waiting in the mosque, making dhikr and hoping for it to come from the sky, and those who have been sacrificing and spilling their own blood and health, going to prison, traveling the lands, fighting Jihad, working to establish the Caliphate on the earth."

"For 90 years, we have lived without any caliphate. For 90 years, we have been living in darkness, ruled over by man-made laws, by tyrants, who oppressed the people, and all of the people had to obey them and their legislation, instead of Allah. Now, Allah be praised, this is the first sermon of my life in which I can fulfill some of the laws of the Prophet, which ordered us and recommended for the preacher and the people to make du'wa and ask Allah to correct, to guide, and to protect the Great Imam, the Sultan, the Emir of Believers, or the Caliph of the Muslims. These titles were used for certain people in the past. We have never had anybody to call by these names for the last 90 years. So now we have, today, after the declaration of the Caliphate, for the first time in 90 years, we can make du'wa and fulfill that sunna."

"The question is not how the Islamic State is going to survive against the American airstrikes. How is America going to survive against the Islamic State's defense and retaliation? This is the real question. I do not believe they are going to survive. I think it is already over for America. They don't want to admit it, but it's over. They can no longer go on a warship and declare: 'Mission accomplished.' Now they should say: 'Mission failed.' It is over. This is how we need to look at the reality. Especially if the Muslims wake up and unite behind the Caliphate... Stop playing games and sitting on the sidelines, watching: 'Oh, the Americans are killing our brothers from the Islamic State. I wonder how they are going to do.' Do something about it! You've got to think about the reality. The world is divided into two camps. Make sure that you are on the side of the Muslims. You shouldn't be on the side of the infidels, nor should you be on the fence, neutral, saying: 'This has nothing to do with me.' You have to defend the Muslims. Whether you like them or not, whether you disagree or agree, does not matter."

"The question of children being trained and learning about fighting - of course, this is encouraged in Islam. Children understand that there is compulsory military service in Islam. So when they reach the age of maturity, the age of 15, and become adults, they will need to fight. You don't order someone to fight if they don't know how to fight. So it is a duty upon the state to provide training for the people, and to prepare themselves for that..."

[...]

"It should be part and parcel of the education system in the Islamic State that children are taught these skills, so that they will always grow up ready for their duty when they reach the age of 15."

[...]

"Do you know how much jizya they are charging in the Islamic State now? It is the equivalent of about 400 pounds a year. No income tax, no national insurance - nothing..."

Audience Member: "No council tax, no TV tax, no road tax..."

Abu Baraa: "None of this. There are no taxes. There's no VAT."

[...]

"These people pay so much tax - they don't even understand. Living in the U.K. is expensive because of the taxes, because of the interest, because of all the capitalist system. All that is removed, and all you pay is this small amount."

[...]

"They are saying that they would rather pay all of the VAT, all of the income tax, all of the council tax, and all of the national insurance, and all of every other tax that you can imagine. They'd rather pay all of that than pay 400-500 pounds a year. Not only that, but it's only the able-bodied man who pays the jizya. The disabled or elderly get a pension. They don't pay the jizya. The women and children don't pay any jizya ever. A woman never pays jizya. She is allowed to work, but she never pays jizya, nor does she pay income tax. My brother, what is better for them? The problem is that they don't see it. They close their eyes to it. When they hear it, it's as if they can't believe it: 'No, it can't be like that.' For them, it's a dream come true. They have lived for so long in an oppressive state that they can't even imagine a life without these taxes. So they don't understand. The jizyais something so good for them, better for them than anything else they've ever experienced."

[...]

"This is just a matter of styles and means of how they will be humiliated. They are humiliated anyway by their own heresy and their own polytheism. They are humiliated by their own dress - they have to dress differently from the Muslims. They will be humiliated because their houses will never be equal to the houses of the Muslims. They will never be allowed to ride a horse while the Muslims don't have horses. Non-Muslim men cannot ride a horse like a man in the Islamic State. They have to ride like a woman, with two legs on one side, because they need to be humiliated, and they should not be similar to the Muslims."

[...]

"Can a father change the nappy of his baby daughter? It's allowed, but it's not the normal suitable role of the father. It should be done by the mother. That is obviously part of the modesty and shyness..."

[...]

"If there are other women - of course it is better for them (to do it). A sister, a mother, a mother-in-law, a grandmother, an auntie - whatever... If there is somebody else, it is better for them, Allah willing. Or a slavegirl... Nowadays, we can start to return to some of the many other rulings of Islam, which have been absent for many years. Now that we have the Caliphate, we can have slavegirls in the Caliphate."
