Hamas Launches Searchable Prisoner Database; Website Protected By U.S.-Based Reverse Proxy Service Cloudflare

On February 1, 2024, Hamas's "Office of Martyrs, Prisoners and the Wounded" announced the launch of an Arabic-language online platform which specializes in collecting and verifying data on prisoners in Israeli prisons.

The Hamas statement, released on Telegram, announced the launch of the platform and urgently called on the families of prisoners to participate in updating the data and information about their relatives, and to provide the site and its specialized moderators with all necessary information.

A MEMRI JTTM lookup of the website indicated it is hosted by U.S. giant GoDaddy LLC, and produced an internet protocol (IP) address in California. The website uses the services of the U.S.-based reverse proxy service CloudFlare, Inc.
