Saudi Columnist: The Real Holocaust – Israel's Slaughter of the Palestinians

June 19, 2009
Palestinians, Saudi Arabia | Special Dispatch No. 2397
In a virulently antisemitic column in the Saudi daily Al-Watan, titled "A Palestinian Hitler," Saudi columnist 'Abdallah Nasser Al-Fawzan questioned the Holocaust and claimed that year after year, the Jews were inflating claims of the number of its victims by the thousands. Al-Fawzan further claimed that the real holocaust was the ongoing Israeli slaughter of the Palestinians, and that the Jews were taking revenge on the Palestinians as if it were the Palestinians and not the Germans who had murdered their fathers.

Following are excerpts from the column: [1]

Open Discussions of Racism Make It More Difficult for Israel to Capitalize on the Jewish Tragedy

"Those Jews' incessant talk about their Holocaust has given us a headache. We are nauseated and disgusted every time they mention that Holocaust, because we know that their true objective is not to describe grief and pain over what the Germans and their leader Hitler did to their fathers.

"Were their aim [merely] to blackmail the German people, we might forgive them. However, their recurring vociferous Holocaust ceremonies and their constant talk about the Holocaust are aimed at pressuring influential world powers, including the German people, to help them blackmail our oppressed Palestinian brothers.

"Ten days ago, Netanyahu voiced anger at countries that had agreed to take part in the international anti-racism summit convened recently in Switzerland, on the grounds that Israel was preparing for a Holocaust Day ceremony and that the summit would overshadow it. Israel is a racist Jewish state, and he [Netanyahu] does not want anyone to speak about racism, since this makes it more difficult for his racist state to capitalize on the Jewish tragedy.

"All world nations have experienced great tragedies at different times in history, but only the scroungers [among them] perpetuate their tragedies… The Jews not only perpetuate their tragedies but also commemorate them in vociferous ceremonies - and not every 10 or [even] five years, but more often. [And] it seems that every time, they add several thousand victims to the number that perished [during WWII], so that there are now millions of them, and there is no way of knowing what their number will be in the future…

"My Strong Nausea Has Made Me Empathize Sincerely with Ahmadinejad"

"My strong nausea has made me empathize sincerely with [Iranian President Mahmoud] Ahmadinejad's statements about the Holocaust… [namely, that] they [the Jews] want the entire world to commemorate the Holocaust - which is a thing of the past - along with them, while they themselves say not a word about the holocaust that they are currently perpetrating in Gaza or about the despicably racist policy on which their state is founded.

"Worst of all is that they are avenging themselves not on the German Hitler but on the Palestinian one - as if the Palestinians had built the ovens and placed their fathers inside. They are burning our oppressed and defenseless Palestinian brothers in the fire of their ovens as if they [the Palestinians] had committed crimes against them. They are setting their fields on fire and confiscating their lands as if they [the Palestinians] had been the ones to light the match which set fire to their fathers' bodies."

The Zionists' Conduct Renders the Authenticity of the Holocaust Questionable

"The Zionists render the authenticity of the Holocaust questionable by their own conduct, which contradicts the lessons that should logically have been derived from it. [They stage] vociferous ceremonies [to commemorate] tragedies and take revenge on the innocents. This also includes the rejection of the international anti-racism summit…

"Ahmadinejad was not the first to deny the Holocaust and to say that the aim of Zionists, with all their claims, is to divert the attention of [world] powers from the barrage of holocausts which, year after year, [they perpetrate] in Palestinian cities in order to exterminate the Palestinian people, or to expel it and seize its land.

"Moreover, even before Ahmadinejad, many historians and researchers had said that. Whoever doubts this need only consider the Jews' mad attacks not only against those who deny or question the Holocaust but against any researcher who tries to challenge its authenticity.

"Enough, enough! The Zionists' claims have greatly nauseated us…"
